Your Google Business Profile is all about getting your practice found by local patients. Remember the day of the phonebook when you'd flip it open and go through the list of doctors in alphabetical order? Well, not anymore!

The Google Business Profile is what drives new patients to local practices like yours. This gives you visibility on what's known as the "Map Pack" or "Snack Pack."

It's been known by quite a few names (most recently Google My Business but also known as Google Local) but it all means the same thing. It's where your business's information resides on the Google Search results.

Your Google Business Profile feeds information to various places including the Map Pack and Google Maps search results. When searching for local businesses, you're most likely familiar with its appearance in the top right of a web search (or the top of a mobile search).

The biggest key to pushing your practice to the top of the search results is to keep your Google Business Profile as up to date and accurate as possible with primary and secondary categories listed.
